If you have any feedback on how we can make our new website better please do contact us. We would like to hear from you.
There's plenty of ways to get involved at Connect. We are comitted to helping people express their faith and encourage connection, so if none of the current ways gets you going why not start another? Anyone is welcome to turn up to any of the groups; you don't need to have come along before.
Prayer
The Powerhouseweekly prayer and worship meeting in Chorleywood from 11:45am to 1pm. We start with a 15 minute discussion on prayer needs then spend an hour praying. You are welcome for the whole session or just for 20 or 30 minutes if that is all you can manage.
Connect Babies
A Thursday morning group for mums and babies that meets in Chorleywood.
Book Group
The book group meet twice a term in the evening to discuss a book that we have all read. We read a good mix of books - we have recently read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, Guernica by Dave Boling, Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson...... to name but a few.
Bike Ride
Around once a month on a Saturday morning we have a cycle ride on tracks around the beautiful Chess Valley. It sounds more lung busting than it actually turns out to be..... Lycra outerwear is currently banned without a supporting letter from your doctor. Afterwards there is a fry-up breakfast which should undo all the good work done by the exercise.
To Do Team
From time to time we gather all the skilled D-I-Y people and give them a task. This is a great way of getting to know people and be involved in an altruistic project. The group has done lots of tree felling, gardening, hedge cutting, shed erection, garden clearing, jobs around the house that never seem to get done, fitting a cat flap..... Normally we help out people who are not able to do the work themselves.
